Giant Antique Wooden Chain

Designed by Dave Allen and created from antique rice pounders, these oversize chains have the rustic patina developed over many years of outdoor use. An integral part of processing the rice harvest and often kept for generations, rice pounders are now being tossed onto the scrap heap; an outdated technology. We collect them from all over Java and give them new life in a small workshop in Bali.
