THE ARTEFACT WORLD / A WORLD OF IDEAS AND ARTEFACTS
Welcome to our world - a place of free-ranging ideas about objects of desire, the nature of beauty and the beauty of nature. Here you will find not a particular line of home décor products, but objects with consistent quality, originality and soul. We believe that the beauty of weathered surfaces and worn fragments in various forms can be spectacular additions to both home and garden. Our artistic inspiration is drawn from nature, honest natural materials and excellent design wherever we find it; be it in a Malaysian village, at a Belgian floral exhibition or at the plumbing supply store.

VISIT OUR LABORATORY…
Commonly referred to as a “showroom”, we prefer to think of our public space as a laboratory. We cordially invite you to come see our current home decor experiments at our 4,000 square foot indoor, and expansive outdoor laboratory on the outskirts of Sonoma, California. We're located on Highway 121, a quick 40-minute drive from San Francisco and only 20 minutes from Napa, at Cornerstone Gardens - a nine acre playground of gardens, food and design set in the vineyards at the gateway to the wine country.

BEAUTIFUL TREASURES
At Artefact you’ll find rare antique architectural pieces, decorative objects crafted from salvage, large-scale organic forms and exclusive home décor products. Our offerings include antique furniture, lighting, mirrors, teak outdoor furniture, garden ornaments and sculpture. We produce our own collection of unique gift items and unusual home decorations. We personally travel and gather decorative accessories from the US, Europe and Asia. Closer to home, we include in our collection carefully selected sculpture and paintings from prominent local artists, commissioned pieces and a growing range of pieces designed by founder Dave Allen.
